Email campaigns

Send a newsletter or offer to the travelers in your directory, straight from TravelSpurt. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and anyone who opts out is left off future sends.

Who receives a campaign

A campaign goes to every traveler with an email address who hasn't unsubscribed. The compose screen shows how many that is. You can't send to only a subset of travelers yet.

Send a campaign

  1. Go to Campaigns.
  2. Check the From name, which is filled in from your trading name, and the From email, where replies go. Emails are delivered from a verified TravelSpurt address, with replies coming back to you.
  3. Write a Subject and a Body. The body is plain text: leave a blank line between paragraphs.
  4. Click Send, check the number of recipients, then click Confirm & send.

A sent campaign can't be recalled. Send a test to yourself from your normal email first if you want to check the wording.

Sending runs in the background. Sent campaigns lists each campaign with its subject, number of recipients, status and send time.

Unsubscribes

Every campaign email ends with an Unsubscribe from marketing emails link. When a traveler clicks it, they're opted out of future campaigns straight away, including one that's already sending.

Unsubscribing only affects marketing campaigns. Travelers still receive booking emails such as invoices, payment confirmations and portal links.
