Itineraries
TravelSpurt builds a day-by-day itinerary from the booking and your activity library, then gives you a branded web link to send to your client. You can edit every day before you share it.
Before you start
- Build your activity library. The AI only uses activities from your library, so it never invents places you don't visit. Descriptions, guide tips and photos come from the library too.
- Move the booking past Enquiry. The itinerary editor and documents unlock at Quoted or later.
- Add stops. The Destinations and stops on the booking tell the AI where the tour goes and for how many nights.
- Set up your branding. Your logo, tagline, promo video, Wee Note and inclusions appear on every itinerary. See Settings.
Generate an itinerary
- Open the booking and find the Documents card.
- Click Generate Itinerary. It takes a moment. If you switch to another tab, your browser can notify you when it's ready.
- The days appear in the itinerary editor. Tour mileage is calculated automatically from the route and feeds the fuel estimate on the Profitability panel.
You can only generate once per booking, so your edits are never overwritten. To start again from scratch, delete all the days in the editor and click Generate Itinerary again.
Edit the itinerary
The Itinerary card on the booking page is the editor. Changes save automatically a moment after you stop typing. Each day shows Saving… and then Saved.
Days
- Add day adds a day at the end. Drag a day by its handle to reorder. The dates stay in order, and the content moves.
- Expand a day to set its title, a hero image and an optional YouTube video.
- The delete icon removes a day. This can't be undone.
- Expand all / Collapse all help when you're working on a long tour.
Intro section
Add welcome text and an optional YouTube intro video. They show above Day 1 on the client's itinerary.
Activities, hotels and notes
Inside each day, add items with:
- Add activity: a visit, meal, transfer, ferry, free time and so on. The Type controls how the item is laid out; the Category sets its icon and colour.
- Add hotel: accommodation, with address, room type, check-in time, nights, booking reference and basis.
- Add note: a short note for the client.
- Insert from library: search your activity library and drop an activity in, with its description, tips and photo.
Drag items to reorder them, including between days. Each activity can have a time, description, website, guide tip, YouTube link and image.
Let AI write descriptions and tips
Click Generate next to an activity's description, or Generate tip next to its tip. If the activity's name matches something in your library, your own text is used. Otherwise TravelSpurt writes a fresh description.
Images
Click an image slot to open the image picker. Suggested shows photos from your media library that match the activity. You can also browse the library, upload a new image, or paste a direct image URL.
Group itineraries for departures
Bookings on a scheduled departure share one Group Itinerary instead of each having their own. Generate it with Generate Group Itinerary from any booking on the departure.
- Click Edit on the Group Itinerary card to change days, accommodation, guide tips, descriptions and activities, then click Save changes. This updates every booking on the departure at once.
- For one traveler who needs something different, such as a different hotel, click Overrides next to their name and change just that day's fields. Overridden fields are marked, and you can clear an override at any time.
Share the itinerary with your client
- On the booking page, click Copy Itinerary Link.
- Paste the link into your email or WhatsApp message. Your client doesn't need an account to open it.
- Want them to accept and pay online? Turn on Show price on itinerary in the Quote card first. See Quotes.
See What your travelers see for how the page looks to them.
Turning a link off
Itinerary links switch off automatically 7 days after the return date. To switch one off sooner, click Expire link on the booking. Click Reactivate link to turn it back on. Anyone opening an expired link is asked to contact you.
